Chicago ScriptWorks 2009 Season features four very different stories.

Character Sheet by Harry Bauer (Chicago, Illinois) - Comedy

Thirty-something Simon Lemish's fantasy game world comes to life as he inadvertently takes control of a businessman, making him behave like a character in the game. (April, 2009)

 

Kheng Kheng Crocodile by Donna Lisa (Westfield NJ) - Family Animation

When a spirited baby crocodile becomes the pet of a lonely Thai boy, village life gets turned upside down. (September 2009)

 

Lemon Tea by Marcia L. Sinclair (Chicago, IL) - Coming-of-age drama

Set in the turbulent South, a black girl ashamed of her dark complexion learns from a newcomer that beauty comes in a myriad of shades-- and real beauty comes from the heart. This presentation will take place on February 18, 2009 at Columbia College's Hokin Theatre, 623 S. Wabash. 

South Side Chicago by Jerry L. Jennings (Narberth, PA) - Crime Drama

A lone wolf Federal officer who specializes in supervising high risk mental offenders, is locked in the most deadly struggle of his long career. (November 2009)

 


The staged readings will all take place at  Columbia College, Chicago IL
